10% of our Sales Go To Shelter Care
As you may know, my husband and I are foster parents for teenage girls in the Shelter Care residential program. We have three houses of girls (2-4 in each house), and each house comes to our house for a week a month. Many of these girls have been neglected, abandoned, or abused - that's why they end up in our care. We try to provide a home-like atmosphere where they can learn to function healthily in a family. When the girls come to our house, we like to expose them to educational and cultural opportunities. However, there is no budget in our program for such opportunities. So, we've decided to donate 10% of our sales for such events. Thanks so much for helping to expand the lives of our girls!! |
